A pending check no longer moves your starting balance

I deposited a $10,000 check and the app read it as $10,000 it couldn't explain. My bank was holding the check until it cleared, and five days later the app would have taken it out of my starting balance anyway. It waits now.

Drift

  • The app learns how your bank treats pending deposits separately from card holds. A bank can take a card hold out of your balance right away and still hold a check until it clears.
  • When a gap matches a pending transaction exactly, Drift Diagnostic shows it as Waiting to Clear, and your starting balance stays put until it posts.
  • Your iPhone and the web share one drift timer, so they can't disagree about when to adjust your budget. It stores when drift was first seen, never amounts or transactions.

Bank sync

  • A bank Plaid has reported as down for more than a week gets a Reconnect button, because a fresh sign-in sometimes fixes what looks like an outage. If reconnecting doesn't help, the card says so and stops asking.

Web

  • Syncing on the web no longer marks your Apple Wallet accounts as stale.
  • The changelog is reachable on a phone, from the site footer and from Settings > Support.
