A bank that stops syncing tells you why
A bank connection could stop updating for weeks while the app still said it had synced an hour ago. Now you see when a bank stops updating and why, and the app only offers a fix when there is one.
Bank sync
- "Synced" shows when your bank last sent new data, not when the app last asked.
- A bank that has not updated in a few days gets a Sync issue card in Settings > Manage Banks that says why. Sometimes it is a sign-in you need to redo, and sometimes the bank itself is having an outage.
- During a bank outage there is no Reconnect button, because there is nothing to fix on your end. Your account catches up on its own once the bank is back.
- Reconnect opens a real sign-in with your bank. It used to close straight away without doing anything. If reconnecting does not help, the card says so and gives you a way to email us.
- While a bank is stuck, its balance waits for its transactions, so your budget never gets a new balance without the spending behind it.
- An account your bank stops sending gets its own card, with Reconnect to bring it back, or you can hide it if you closed it.
Web
- Income and spending no longer drop to $0 after you sync in a phone browser.
- The Income figure on the Budget tab shows your real income in zero-based budgets. It always read $0.
- Hide Account is on the web now, under Edit on an account page.
- Account pages list transactions newest first, with dates.
- A sync problem shows once instead of on every sync.
- Accounts you linked on the web now show as connected on your iPhone.
