Transactions that stay put

Bank data could slip through in a few places. It stays put now, and there is a way to pull back anything that did not.

Syncing

  • Apple Card and Apple Cash transactions stay put. Sync was reading the list of recent changes from Apple Wallet as the full picture, so anything it had no update for could drop out.
  • A sync that drops partway picks up where it left off. Your bank sends each update once, so your phone now confirms it has stored them before that position moves on.
  • Your phone and your iPad no longer file the same bank transaction twice.
  • Marking a transaction as a transfer sticks. Some banks re-send a transaction after removing it, and a transfer used to come back as ordinary spending.

Zero-based budgets

  • Left to Assign holds steady. The starting balance behind it could move twice over for one transaction.
  • Hidden accounts stay out of your starting balance when you switch to zero-based.
  • Settings > Drift Diagnostic lists each time your starting balance settled against your bank, and what changed.
  • Re-download from your bank, in that same screen, pulls back recent history when something has gone missing.

Web

  • The reconciling notice and the automatic settle run on the web now, the same way they do on iOS.
  • Switching budget mode clears your assignments, as the confirmation says.
